About Us

For over 30 years, the Potter-McKean Players, and previously the Potter Players, have been bringing theatrical entertainment to the community stage, providing our area with quality productions and an outlet for creative expression. We exist as an organization to offer compelling theatrical experiences for the public, utilizing local talent in all aspects of production, and to provide a forum where local actors can develop and enhance their craft.

Our membership is entirely volunteer-based, and none of our production staff receive compensation for their time and efforts. The Potter-McKean Players are powered purely by passion — a shared love of storytelling, performance, and the unique magic that only live theater can create.

From classic comedies to dramatic masterworks, our productions reflect the rich creative spirit of the Northern Tier community. We are proud to be a space where first-time performers find their footing on stage alongside seasoned veterans, where backstage crews bring worlds to life through design and craftsmanship, and where audiences come together to share an experience that no screen can replicate.
