A Christmas Story in One Act
The story recounts the adventures of miserly old Ebeneezer Scrooge at Christmas time. On Christmas Eve, as he falls asleep in his dingy quarters, his partner Marley, who has been dead seven years, comes to him bound in ghostly chains and warns him that he will be visited by Three Ghosts, The Gosts of Christmas Past, of Christmas Present and of Christmas Yet To Come. The Ghosts appear, each revealing to Scrooge the wrong-doing of his life and what will happen if he continues in his evil ways. When the last Vision shows him his own grave stone, he is wracked with fear and remorse and begs for one more chance, only to awake and find it all a dream. His joy is unbounded and as a man reborn, he sets out on Christmas Day to bless with his newfound generosity all those whom he has neglected and abused.
