Theater isn't just something we do, it's something we build together. Whether you've been performing your whole life, always wanted to try, or simply want to be part of something creative and community-driven, there is a place for you with the Potter-McKean Players. We are always looking for new faces, new hands, and new hearts to bring to the stage.
Have you ever dreamed of stepping into the spotlight? Auditions for Potter-McKean Players productions are open to everyone in the community, and no prior experience is required. Just a willingness to show up and give it a try. Each production is announced individually, and audition details including dates, times, and what to prepare are shared through our mailing list and on this website.
We believe that great performances come from all walks of life, and we welcome performers of every age, background, and experience level. You might just surprise yourself.

Membership with the Potter-McKean Players is open to anyone who wants to be a part of what we do. There are no dues, no fees, and no auditions required to join. Just a love of theater and a desire to contribute to your community.
As a member, you become part of the decision-making and direction of our organization, with a voice in what we produce and how we grow. Members participate in our general meetings, help shape our season, and form the core of the volunteer family that keeps this company alive.
If you're interested in becoming a member, come to one of our meetings or reach out to us directly and we'll be happy to welcome you in.

What you see on stage is only half the story. Every production depends on a dedicated team working behind the curtain, and those roles are just as creative, rewarding, and essential as anything happening in the spotlight.
We are always looking for volunteers to help with:
Set Construction and Painting: Build and paint the worlds our stories take place in
Costuming: Design and assemble the looks that bring characters to life
Lighting and Sound: Shape the atmosphere and energy of every performance
Props: Source and create the details that make a stage feel real
Stage Management: Keep rehearsals and performances running smoothly
Front of House: Welcome audiences, manage ticketing, and make every patron feel at home
No formal experience is necessary for most crew roles, just enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. If you have a specific skill you'd like to contribute, we'd love to hear from you.
Reach out to us at info@pottermckeanplayers.org to find out how you can get involved behind the scenes.
